This's one the most friendly and enjoyable sushi restaurant in Vegas. We have been to several over the years. We haven't had the need to go anywhere else. Try it you won't be disappointed.... Super kid friendly too, ask about the treasure chest.

Our friends that live near Henderson recommended this place so we decided to check it out and we are glad we did. Our kids were pretty hungry so they wanted to order the AYCE while my wife and I went with the classic roll special that comes with 2 classic rolls, an appetizer, & miso soup. I really wanted some yellowtail so I added 2 pieces of hamachi nigiri sushi to my order. The yellowtail was THE BEST I've had in quite a while. The next time we are in town, we'll be ordering the AYCE and saving room to be able to try a wider selection of their offerings. It took a while to get seated but they assured us we would get the lunch prices that end at 3 PM. Only 1 server was working the entire floor so service was extremely slow but what can you do when there's only person to seat everyone and take their orders. It is what it is. Another person showed up as we checked out and apparently there was a bad accident on the 95 which we saw the results of with traffic at a standstill on the opposite side of the freeway as we returned downtown. Ambiance is not what you should be looking for here. Its pretty barebones in a shopping center next to a Smith's grocery store but we weren't here to be impressed by our surroundings so no problem there. Lots of parking available but you'll find some lousy drivers in the area. It would be nice if people could learn to use their backup cameras to park correctly too. Apparently driving an oversized truck gives you permission to park like a blind person. People with no disabled plates or placards taking up spaces not meant for them as well. Prices at Hero are extremely reasonable, especially for the quality of what they served. Looking forward to returning during football season and dining here one of days of my trip.

Sushi hero, particularly this location, came highly recommended by a friend so I had to check it out for lunch. Initial impressions were the establishment is right off the highway in a shopping center. It's easy to miss and isn't much to look at from the outside. They open at 11:30 am for their lunch which runs $27 and some change for ayce. With tip, two of us was $70. A lot of ayce sushi places try to fill you up with rice but this was not the case with Sushi Hero. The fish was very fresh and skillfully cut. No scrimping. Their plating and presentation was visually appealing. There garlic tuna was some of them best I had. Other favorites were the Screaming Orgasm, ChooChoo Roll and the Johnny Roll. Sushi Hero has risen to there top of my go-to sushi restaurant list!

Food/Taste/Flavor: 5/5 - Dancing Tiger Roll and Pink Lady Roll. The Dancing Tiger is cucumber and shrimp tempura inside with spicy tuna, unagi (eel), and avocado on the outside drizzled with a sweet eel sauce. The tempura is crunchy and the eel had a good texture and flavor. The Pink Lady has cucumber, spicy tuna, and spicy crab on the inside with tuna on top and a garlic ponzu sauce on the side for us to dip. This roll definitely had a kick but we couldn't really differentiate between the crab and tuna since it was heavily seasoned. However, delicious overall! Ambience: n/a - ordered food to go Service: 5/5 - quick service and to the point Value for price: 3/5 - we got the buy one get second 50% off but the bill still came out to $24.30 so not the cheapest place around but good food at least!
